Four Types of Sentences/Extra Cred
Simple:
1- The professor is teaching, and the students are paying attention. 2- Maria read the book, but she didn’t do her homework.
Compound:
1- I really want to go to school, but I am too sick to go .
2- Kate didn’t want to go to school, yet she went anyway.
Complex:
1- Because my coffee was too dark, I added more water to it.
2- The artist got excited he got feedback, although the feedback wasn’t constructive. Compound-Complex:
1- Raymond doesn’t like the bananas because they are too sweet, so he doesn’t buy them.
2- Mari enjoys watching Scandal because she finds it interesting, so she watches it everyday.
