Authority posses the power of leading individuals to the things they are being told to do. Sometimes authority makes people do things that they don't want to do, but end up doing it because they feel that these individuals are worthy of respect. Authority has a lot of power on subjects. Stanley discovered in his study that the majority of people would go against their morals. People tend to go against their morals to respect and satisfy an authority figure.
            An example of the power of authority would be, how citizens obey and react to the authority of police officers and the law in the everyday life.  When a subjects sees that the police is following them in a car they don't hesitate to pull to the side. Because the individual feels  that the police officer behinds him has the authority to pull him to the side. This power of authority doesn't just happen with police officers but also, the president, your mom or even in school.

This course helped me transition and learn some techniques for writing at a college level. Coming from high school and english not being my first language, it tends to be difficult for me to write my thoughts and ideas on paper. This English class, the professor's feedback and my tutors assistance helped me learn and write all my papers. At the beginning of class the assignment was to develop a Literacy Narrative about any skill, competence or knowledge one has acquired. I decided to write my narrative on cycling since I started cycling during my senior year of high school, cycling was a sport that made me get out of my comfort zone and meet new people and also to do something that I was passionate about. Interview: Dark Dreams My topic is about Dream Anxiety Disorder also known as dream anxiety disorder, is a terrifying disorder described by the occurrence of repeated dreams during which the sleeper feels threatened and terrified (Psychology Today). I choose to interview Casey because my professor told me about how Casey experienced this disorder. Caseys information is contributing to my paper because it supports most of my claims.   Question #1. What is Dream Anxiety Disorder? Frequent dreams that bring out strong feelings of fear, terror, distress or anxiety.   Question #2. How would you describe your nightmares? Dark Dreams Abstract             This paper involves the research on Dream Anxiety Disorder. Dream Anxiety Disorder is a sleep disorder in which the individual experiences constant vivid terrifying dreams. This research points out some of the possible causes, preventions and treatments. A personal interview was also conducted to explain and support the claims of this paper.
